In this short article, we explain the difference between an upload request that you can send from Smartlockr within Outlook and an upload portal that someone can go to anytime to upload files.
Upload request:
An upload request can be sent from our Outlook plugin. This is a personal link that the recipient can use to send files to you and it can only be used once.
Upload portal:
An upload portal can be visited by the person who needs to upload files at any time to do this upload. The link to visit the upload portal will always remain the same.
The administrator of Smartlockr within your organization can create multiple upload portals and add certain restrictions such as that it can only be sent to specific mail addresses, the maximum number of attachments and file types that are allowed.
