In this article, we will show you how to upload files in the upload portals of SmartLockr in 9 steps.
What is an upload portal?
An upload portal is a web page where you can use the SmartLockr encryption to upload files and send them to customers of SmartLockr securely.
The SmartLockr admin can change the behavior of an upload portal to ensure they receive the correct files or to make things easier for you by already entering the recipients. If the recipients are already registered, you can click the name of the department or person and you don’t have to type the email address yourself.
9 steps to upload files
In the 9 steps below, we will follow the standard behavior of an upload portal. Please note that there are some steps that can be slightly different and are discussed at the bottom of this article after the 9 steps.
To visit an upload portal you need a link that is provided to you by the organization that needs the files. Our customers decided for themselves how to give you access to the admin portals but some examples are: 1: There will be a link on their homepage or 2: There will be a link on the bottom of the email signature.
