In this short article, we will show you how to disable the Smartlockr add-in within Microsoft Outlook. At the end of the article, we will explain why you may not be able to do this yourself.

Step 1: In Outlook, click on "File".

Step 2: Click on "Options".

Step 3: Click on "Add-ins".

Step 4: Click on "Go".

Step 5: Click the checkmark in front of Smartlockr to disable it.

Step 6: Click on "OK".

You have now disabled Smartlockr and can now continue to use Outlook without the Smartlockr add-in. You may not be able to disable the Smartlockr plugin because your IT department prevents it. This is usually due a policy that organizations do not want mail to be sent without security.

If you want to re-enable Smartlockr follow the steps above but check Smartlockr instead of uncheck it to re-enable Smartlockr.
