Default retention period for files and messages and how to extend your retention period

Default retention period:

By default, all messages and files that have been sent with SmartLockr encryption have a retention period of 14 days. This means that 14 days after the messages and/or files have been sent, it won't be possible to access them anymore. This 14 days retention period is the base level for all our packages. 

In the notification emails that recipients receive for files and/or messages that have been sent with SmartLockr, they can see the until when they will be able to access what has been sent with SmartLockr. 

Longer retention period:

It is possible to have a longer retention period. Because these files and messages will be stored on our servers for longer, we will charge you additional costs based on how long you want the files and/or messages to be available.  Please contact one of our Customer Success Managers through cs@smartlockr.eu and let us know how long you want the files and/or messages to be available.
