The on-premise backend of AttachingIT is a web application that communicates the AttachingIT Outlook add-in. If you want to host this on a server that you manage, there are a number of requirements before the installation is performed.
- Windows Server 2008 R2 of higher
- Domain name
A server in DMZ with an external IP address on Windows Server 2008 R2 or higher as operating system.
The web application must be accessible from the internet so the recipients of up and download links can access the up and download pages from your server. In order to provide the recipients with a readable link, a domain name must first be devised. This domain name can be a full domain name such as "domain.nl" or a sub-domain such as "attachingit.domain.com"
It is recommended to offer the service via an encrypted connection over port 443. This requires an SSL certificate that validates the chosen domain name. AttachingIT does not provide SSL Certificates.
The other supplies will be installed if not present, of course the installation is easier if this is already present.
