The Management Console is the heart of the software. Depending on the modules you have purchased, you can personalize and adjust various things. We are happy to explain what functions and institutions are there!
How can you log in to the Management Console?
- To log in here, you must first set the password
- On the " forgotten password " page, enter the e-mail address with which you enter have registered
- You will now receive an e-mail to create a personal password
- Go straight to work and login to the Management Console
The dashboard
This is the first page you will be redirected to after you have logged in. Here you can search and find the following:
- Search filter: where you can search specifically for events in a certain period
- Log: of all events of all users / upload requests
Recipient Filters
On this page you can indicate whether you want to accept or block certain e-mail addresses, domains or file types. This can be useful if, for example, you only want to receive .pdf files and do not want to receive installation files by e-mail.
Outgoing / Blocked addresses
Here you can, for example, specify domains that you want to block. It will then not be possible to send files from your e-mail client to the specified domains.
Outgoing / Exceptions
For example, you want to block the domain @ gmail.com, but you want to allow one specific e-mail address (kees@gmail.com). Then you can note that e-mail address here.
The incoming traffic relates to the public upload page. This is a separate module. Under the page 'links & downloads'> public upload link, you can check if this module is enabled
Incoming / Allowed addresses
Within the public upload page you can indicate which domains or e-mail addresses you specifically want to allow. For example, if you enter @ jedomein.nl here, this means that customers who want to upload files can only send the files to e-mail addresses with @ jedomein.nl.
Incoming / Exceptions
You want customers to be able to send files from the public upload page to @ jedomein.nl recipients of your organization, except for example kees@jedomein.nl. It is not possible for customers to mail files to this e-mail address.
Filetype Filters
You can specify within this page whether you want to exclude certain extensions (for example .exe) from your e-mail traffic or upload page. You can filter the following:
- extension of a file, for example .pdf .exe or .docx
- the size of a file (in bytes)
And select what it applies to:
- Denied: refuse for all applications
- ApplyForUpload: apply to the public upload portal
- ApplyForAttachments: apply to sending attachments via an e-mail client
Branding
Do you use the 'branding' module? Then you have access to this page where you can add the style of your organization yourself. Read more about all the options here.
To add the style, the following options are particularly important to configure:
- Set the background color
- Customize website URL
- Change the preferred language to, for example, Dutch
- Customize the logos
When you have made these adjustments, you will see when you create an e-mail, the logos and the button will appear in the style that you’ve chosen. You only need to set this up once in the Management Console.
Links & software
This page consists of two parts. At the top you see the public upload link (depends on the type of contract). With this link your clients can send files easily.
In addition, you will see two codes on the page, namely the customer ID and key. You need this information if you want to install the plug-in in Outlook. Only with this data it can connect to the server and files can be uploaded on the server.
