You can set a fixed receiving e-mail address to your public upload page, so your customers don’t have to fill in your e-mail address everytime they want to upload files.
This works as follows:
If you go to your public upload page you can add the fixed email address to the URL in the search bar below.
This is how you should add your e-mail address:
Below you find the regular URL of the uploadpage:
If I type the following: ?email=support%40attachingit.com
The result is that the public upload page is always loaded with the e-mail address: email@example.com (see image below)
note: the URL the webbrowser doesn’t recognize the @, that’s why this part is written with “%40”
It may be useful to display the link on your website in this way or to put it in your e-mail signature so customers don’t have to fill in the e-mailaddress everytime.
If you want to prevent people from uploading files to other e-mail addresses than the preferred e-mail address, you can add filters in the management portal under the header Recipient. Normally, your domain will be displayed here, in our case @ smartlockr.eu.
If firstname.lastname@example.org is entered here, it’s not possible to use email@example.com for the public upload page.
